Cancellation Information


It is with deep regret that we announce the cancellation of the NHRMA Oregon HR Academy, originally scheduled for April 6-8, 2020 in Portland, OR. This difficult decision was made out of significant concern for the health and safety of our attendees, staff, partners, and our communities.


The Northwest Human Resource Management Association leadership has been closely monitoring the spread of COVID-19 (coronavirus). Based on the latest guidance from public health officials and the travel bans implemented by many companies, it became clear to us that cancellation was the right course of action.


Consistent with our registration policy, all registration fees paid will be refunded. Refunds will be processed over the next 10 days. There is no need to request refunds; they will be processed automatically. Refunds will be processed to the original payment method. We are not able to redirect refunds.


In addition, we urge attendees to expedite the cancellation of air travel reservations and hotel reservations made outside the HR Academy block at the Embassy Suites immediately. If you made your hotel reservation as part of the HR Academy discounted block, you do not need to cancel your reservation; the Embassy Suites will cancel those reservations and send you a confirmation of the cancellation to the email on record.


Looking ahead, we all know that great things happen when the community comes together. This conference is a valuable event for our human resources community. We are working hard to provide continued opportunities to foster these connections over the next few weeks, months, and year, and will send you an update as soon as possible.
